BIRM FILTERS

iron and manganese removing systems

Birm is a natural catalytic filter material with highest performance. An example for application of Birm is the removal of iron and manganese from water. Soluble iron and manganese ions are filtered out after flocculation has been implemented. The catalytic filter media contained in a pressure tank converts iron in water into insoluble iron compounds. Subsequently, filtration takes place. This precipitant can easily be flushed up-flow. This way, the media can be re-utilized.
